My husband, Pete, and I live in nine hundred square feet - a wee realm for two adults, five indoor/outdoor cats, and an old dog - though I should add a bit for the basement area...
Anyway, I tend to use imaginative techniques to make the most of my tiny space.
Yep... use of space is creative!
I have many friends who consider themselves non-creative. When I look around their houses, I see how they have hung pictures, or how they put things in their cupboards, or how their furniture is arranged.
They *are* creative!
And of course, you are creative, too! Just look around! Everyone has imagination... everyone does clever things. Seeing an idea and tweaking it to fit your life *is* inventive. We just sometimes overlook the artistic things we do.
In my tiny house, I wanted to get ideas for where to have a winter place for the herbs I planted this past spring.
So I looked at pictures in magazines and noticed friends' spaces and I looked at the multitude of online idea sites.
I finally settled on a shelf above my kitchen sink.
Pete helped me put it up, and I've grown the herbs in some cute little pots.
I'm not a cook... I just love the wonderful smells when I touch the leaves.
Now all I have to do is convince the cat, ThingTwo, to stay off the shelf long enough to put the herbs there...
